Apizol Capsule

Apizol Capsule with Omeprazole is used for the short-term treatment of heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer in the upper part of the small intestine (duodenal ulcer).

Apizol Capsule works by preventing the amount of acid production in the stomach by blocking the organic enzyme system. This medicine helps by reducing the level of acid in the stomach. Omeprazole is also used for the short-term treatment of stomach ulcer, to treat heartburn and indigestion caused by GERD, for the short-term treatment of inflammation of the food pipe, for the long-term treatment of overproduction of gastric acid (Zollinger-Ellison syndrome), for the long-term treatment of cancer of the endocrine gland, and for the long-term treatment of increase in the number of mast cells in the body (systemic mastocytosis).

Apizol Capsule with Omeprazole is used for the short-term treatment of heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer in the upper part of the small intestine (duodenal ulcer).

Omeprazole may also be used together with other medicines to treat certain conditions as recommended by the doctor. It is used in combination with Clarithromycin, or Amoxicillin to treat ulcers in the upper part of the small intestine called as duodenal ulcers. It is also used with Clarithromycin, or Metronidazole to remove Helicobacter pylori bacteria which leads to stomach ulcers.
