Ofox 200 Tablet - Ankit Pharmaceuticals

Ofox-200 Tablet contains Ofloxacin which is a fluoroquinolone (flor-o-KWIN-o-lone) antibiotic that fights bacteria in the body.

Ofox-200 Tablet with Ofloxacin is used to treat bacterial infections of the skin, lungs, prostate, or urinary tract (bladder and kidneys). Ofloxacin is also used to treat pelvic inflammatory disease and Chlamydia and/or gonorrhea.

Usage

Ofox-200 Tablet is used to treat certain cases of

pneumonia
skin infections
lung infections
sexually transmitted infections in reproductive organs
infections in the bladder
infections in kidneys
This medicine is also used to treat swelling of the prostate gland caused by prostatitis

This medicine works by destroying bacterial growth thus helps in preventing the bacterial infection.

Side Effects

The following side-effects may commonly occur when using Ofox 200 Tablet. If any of these side-effects worsen or last for a long time, you should consult with your doctor:

decreased taste sensitivity
diarrhea
dizziness
headache
itching on external sexual organs of women
nausea
severe itching
sleep problems
vaginal inflammation (vaginitis)
vomiting

Ofox-200 Tablet may also cause side-effects not listed here.

Fluoroquinolone antibiotics can cause serious or disabling side effects that may not be reversible. Ofloxacin should be used only for infections that cannot be treated with a safer antibiotic.
